If I found out tomorrow that my son was misdiagnosed--that there was another explanation-- I would still run. I know because of the people I have met. I see the look in the eyes of mothers whose children suffer from NF, and I think, "I must look like that to other people." Until there is an answer to all the questions. I will run.
Wow! Way to go, Nick! 20,000 for this year? Did you make it? That is awesome! I raised like 10,122 in 2010 but haven't raised as much this year- I need to send more paper letters! Good luck in Chicago on Sunday! I'd like to do that one someday... I did from 18-26 of Chicago (and detoured around chute into park) with my dad, when he ran his first marathon in 2005. My first full was 2007. (I've done 5 fulls, 14 halfs, and 1 half-ironman... possible 50k soon and future goal of full IM!) Keep the engine burning... until a cure is found! :)
